Munos, Tokuyama keep world titles
TOKYO, Japan -- Venezuelan Alexander Munos beat Japanese challenger Eiji Kojima with a 10th round technical knockout to retain his World Boxing Association super flyweight title in Osaka, Japan.
The 24-year-old stretched his unbeaten record to 25 wins, including 24 knockouts.
Masamori Tokuyama of Japan defended his World Boxing Council super flyweight title with a unanimous decision over Russian Dimitri Kirilov.
It was Tokuyama's eighth successive defense and improved his record to 30-2-1.
Also on Saturday, World Boxing Council flyweight champion Pongsaklek Wonjongkam defended his title with a unanimous decision over Masaki Nakanuma of Japan in Yokohama.
The Thai fighter improved his record to 50-2 with 30 knockouts in his ninth successful title defense.
