LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- The jazz group Fourplay has a new CD in stores entitled "4." Joined by new member Larry Carlton on guitar, the band strolls through jazz numbers with an original flair.

"It's kind of eclectic," Fourplay member Bob James told CNN's Showbiz Today. "And there's just a lot of different original compositions by all four of us in the group, and we think that it probably represents our best work to date."

The band treated fans to a sample of their sound on Thursday's edition of Showbiz Today.
