TV producer wants 'Sex With Cindy Crawford'NEW YORK (CNN) -- Television producer Peter Stuart has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against supermodel Cindy Crawford, claiming the upcoming "Sex With Cindy Crawford" special was partly his idea, even though he's not getting credit for it. His suit claims both Stuart and Crawford agreed to work together to come up with an idea for a TV show, and Stuart at one time suggested a show about "modern-day attitudes towards sex." Stuart's suit, filed Friday by Stuart and his London-based Rapido Television, also names the William Morris Agency, which at the time of the alleged agreement represented both Crawford and Stuart. The "Sex" special, which airs on ABC Tuesday night, does not give Stuart credit, the suit says, and he has not received payment. Neither Crawford nor the William Morris Agency have commented.
Larry King talking fatherhoodLOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Larry King will have something new to discuss this spring. The host of CNN's daily talk show "Larry King Live" and his wife, Shawn Southwick King, are expecting a baby. Earlier this month, King denied his 38-year-old wife was pregnant, saying: "I wish she were pregnant. I am keeping my fingers crossed. She's a great kid." King and his wife married last September in Los Angeles. The child will be her second and his fourth.
Reeve urges spinal cord injury databaseWEST ORANGE, New Jersey (CNN) -- Actor-director Christopher Reeve on Monday urged lawmakers to create a national registry of brain and spinal cord injuries. The actor, who has been paralyzed since 1995, appeared at the Kessler Institute For Rehabilitation, where he spent seven months recuperating. Reeve said a registry would allow doctors to match people with injuries to services. It would also give researchers more information about the links between brain-injured patients and those with spinal cord injuries, Reeve said. Reeve has become an advocate for increased funding for spinal cord injuries since breaking his neck during an equestrian competition in Virginia. Reeve, who portrayed Superman in four movies, also directed the Emmy-nominated HBO film "In the Gloaming" last year and wrote a memoir, "Still Me."
DreamWorks takes step to building new studioLOS ANGELES (CNN) -- Steven Spielberg's film and music company, DreamWorks SKG, agreed with a land developer on Monday to basic terms to build a new studio on environmentally sensitive wetlands near Los Angeles. According to a deal the studio struck with land developer Playa Capital Co., the site -- which for several years has been a focus of concern among environmental protesters -- will remain undeveloped on more than half of the 1,087-acre area, including a restored Ballona Wetlands. Both parties say the development will "improve the habitat for many species of flora and fauna," create a freshwater marsh and restore a portion of Centinela Creek to a natural state. "We are pleased to have taken a major step closer to a final agreement that will bring DreamWorks to Playa Vista," said DreamWorks principal Jeffrey Katzenberg. Reuters contributed to this report.
