Felipe Fernandez-Armesto
Felipe Fernandez-Armesto is the author of the best-selling book, "Millennium: A History of the Last Thousand Years," which inspired CNN's MILLENNIUM.
Fernandez-Armesto's other critically acclaimed literary works include "The Times Atlas of World Exploration," "The Times Guide to the Peoples of Europe" and "Columbus." His journalistic works have been widely syndicated and frequently appear in The Times of London and regularly in the Sunday edition of The Independent.
Fernandez-Armesto's television credits include Alan Ereira's Tony Award-winning series "Armada," "Confessions of an Arms Dealer," "Drake's Last Voyage" and as a guest host on BBC 2's "Leviathan." He also contributes to BCC Radio, most often as a panelist on "Room for Improvement," "International Question Time" and "Night Waves."
Fernandez-Armesto has been a member of the faculty of modern history at Oxford University since 1983 and is a fellow of the Netherlands Institute of Advanced Study for 1999/2000.
