CNN Financial News' 230 business journalists ultimately produce 15 percent of the programming for CNN and CNNI, all the programs for CNNfn and the content for CNNfn.com.

Our first stop is the main set for CNNfn - the only CNN News network based outside CNN's Atlanta headquarters. This is the source of CNNfn's 14 hours of live programs each weekday that provide a wealth of business, market, consumer and personal finance information in an entertaining and informative manner.

Anchors interview as many as 40 guests each day - CEOs, entrepreneurs, economists, financial planners, brokers, analysts... all taking CNNfn's viewers questions and bringing their expertise and corporate adventures to life.

Journalists in the control room produce the programs and keep the anchors abreast of developing news. Technicians direct the program and run the animation, graphics and music according to the producer's show run-down. CNNfn's signal is sent from here to Atlanta, where it is put on a satellite and then downlinked by cable and satellite systems - all in less than one second.

This is the CNN Financial News assignment desk, which is responsible for assigning stories to the Financial News field producers and reporters in New York, London, Tokyo, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles.
