Baby Bell company US West has just put its yellow pages on-line.
The new Internet directory contains business listings for more than 1,000 communities across 14 states.
In addition to business names and numbers, you can also find local community information and news.
There are also white pages on the Internet -- for e-mail addresses. One new people-finder is called "Bigfoot".
This free service bills itself as the "global e-mail directory for the on-line community".
Just type in the name of the person you're looking for and Bigfoot will give you a list of possible matches. It's a great way to catch up with long-lost friends across the world, all via cyberspace.
