Mir's current three-man crew is charged with making much-needed repairs to the
ailing space station. Veteran cosmonaut Anatoly Solovyov and Pavel Vinogradov
arrived on Mir in August replacing Vasily Tsibliyev and Alexander Lazutkin. U.S. astronaut David Wolf began his four months stay on Mir in late September.

David Wolf
Mission Specialist
Age: 41
Residence: Houston, Texas
Training: A native of Indiana, Wolf graduated from Purdue University and received his medical degree from Indiana University in 1982. He is a USAF senior flight surgeon in the Air National Guard and has logged over 2000 hours of flight time including air combat training as a weapons systems officer.
Expertise: Designer of real time computer process control systems, communications, bioprocessing, physiology, fluid dynamics, and aerospace medicine. He is qualified for spacewalks.
Previous Missions: Mission Specialist astronaut aboard Space Shuttle Columbia (STS-58) in 1993.
