Amateur astronomers flock to Georgia telescope

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- Atlanta called on amateur astronomers to take a look through a powerful telescope -- and they came in droves, from all ages, to take a peek into the skies and beyond.

And as CNN's John Holliman found out, to be an amateur astronomer can be scientifically rewarding.
