WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Top financial officials from the world's seven richest industrial nations gathered in Washington to discuss the world's finances Sunday. Last week, leaders from the Group of Seven countries met in Russia for a summit on nuclear safety.
Slow economic growth in Europe topped their Washington agenda. The group also discussed debt relief for the world's poorest nations, reforms to prevent future Mexican-style financial crises, and the struggling Russian economy.
Those same issues will be discussed in the next two days during a World Bank and International Monetary Fund Summit.
